How do I switch plans (upgrade or downgrade)?

Change between Professional and Professional Plus in the billing portal. Here is what it costs, when it takes effect, and how to avoid the duplicate-subscription trap.

You can change plans yourself in the billing portal (bastiongpt.com/billing): sign in with your billing email, choose Update Subscription, and select the new plan. Prefer help? Email [email protected] and we will switch it for you.

What it costs and when

Plan changes take effect immediately, and Stripe bills the prorated difference for the rest of the current period right away. This applies during a trial too, so if you want to try the other tier mid-trial, ask support first and we will help you switch without a surprise charge.

Upgrade the subscription you have; do not buy a second one

Always change the plan on your existing subscription. Signing up again with another email creates a second, parallel subscription, which is the most common cause of double billing. If that has already happened, contact support with both charges and we will cancel the duplicate and refund up to the prior 90 days of charges if applicable.

After you upgrade to Professional Plus

  • Your sign-in address changes: Professional uses secure.bastiongpt.com, Professional Plus uses plus.bastiongpt.com.

  • Your chat history lives with each plan's site, so your old chats stay on the previous site and the new site starts clean. To bring your work with you, use Settings > export chats and prompts on the old site and import the file on the new one, or ask support for help.

Downgrading

You can move from Professional Plus to Professional the same way. Note that Plus features (like manual model selection and the larger saved-prompt reference limits) stop applying, so a saved prompt with a very large reference document may need trimming on Professional.
