Most transcripts are ready in 5 to 60 minutes, depending on the length of the recording. The wait is deliberate: we analyze every voice across the full recording so speakers are labeled as accurately as possible. You do not need to keep the page open; processing continues after you sign out, and you can start another recording while an earlier one is still processing.
Where do I find my transcripts?
Transcripts live in the transcription section, not in your chat history. Click the "transcription" button in the top right corner of the screen, and your sessions appear in the history on the left side. You can also sign in directly at transcription.bastiongpt.com. You can replay the original audio from the session view (there is no option to download the audio file).
My transcript says it is still processing
If a transcription has been processing for more than an hour, that is not normal, though on rare occasions it can occur. The system will attempt reprocessing automatically. If a transcript has not processed within 4 hours, email [email protected], or in chat ask to escalate to a human so a team member can investigate. Include the session title and the date and time it was recorded; there are no session ID numbers, so the title and time are exactly what we need to find it.
My transcript shows FAILED
Do not delete the session. Contact support with the session title and recording date, and we can usually reprocess it from the original audio.
I recorded a session, but the transcript looks empty or wrong
Check for a duplicate session with the same title. A false start (starting, stopping, and restarting a recording) can create two sessions with the same name, and the short empty one hides the real one. Open the other session with that title and your full transcript is usually there.
How long are transcripts kept?
Your transcription retention setting controls this, from 1 to 365 days. After a transcript reaches the retention limit it is permanently deleted, and deleted or expired transcripts cannot be recovered, so copy anything you need into your chart or records before it expires.
